I really enjoyed helping this young lady. She is smart, has poise and is easy to communicate with.

She was referred to me by one of her friends who also had an underbite. However, her situation was different, she was younger and there was crowding in her upper jaw, which is always desirable in the treatment of a class III underbite case. We had a candid conversation. We started the treatment based on mutual understandings. She did not want to have double-jaw surgery or any surgery for that matter.

I shared my case analysis and she understood that the skeletal aspect of the case the protruded dominant chin will not be resolved by restoration of the underbite and a class I canine relation. This was an interesting case as I expanded/modified both arched while resolving the underbite.  My patient and her parents are thrilled by avoiding surgery.
